Online Conference (November 18th, 2021)

Intro to Kubernetes and GKE

Kubernetes has become immensely popular in the last several years. Container technology and Kubernetes form the basis of the concept of "Cloud Native," with a huge ecosystem of products, tools, and other open source projects built around it. This ecosystem enables new architectures and methodologies aimed at making running businesses and their applications easier. Businesses across the globe, from many industries, are eager to adopt these new tools and ways of thinking. This session will go over the basics of what Kubernetes is, why many businesses are interested in managed services from Cloud Providers, like Google's "Google Kubernetes Engine" managed service, and some basic essentials you'll need to know both about Open Source Kubernetes, and Kubernetes in the Cloud with GKE
